Fluff and buff of the striker assembly
« on: April 17, 2014, 07:58:48 PM »
Finally made it out to the range after a long winter. Last year I began having trouble with light strikes with my 1st generation auto. The primers had an indentation but would not fire. Put them in the 3PAT and they all fired so the primers weren't the problem. Talked to Cris about how the striker assembly was put together and disassembled mine. Who ever assembled the pistol had left an extra half of the two piece cup assembly in the spring so I had 3 half rubber cups jammed in the spring end. After tearing everything down to the bear bones, I sanded every price of steel in the assembly with 800 grit emery paper and reassembled everything. Sprayed  it all down with silicone spray and reassembled the striker assembly. It ran like a top today shooting Hornady Zombie Killers.
