First 40 rounds!!! Keeper!!!!
« on: June 08, 2015, 07:50:21 PM »
I just went out and put the first 40 out of my YE**** DB9.   Very stiff slide, recoil stiff but not terrible but did leave it imprint on my hand.   Did get it to FTF when shooting 1 handed but did work when you grip it really hard, but 2 handed worked perfect with me and my buddy.
A Talon grip and a barrel polish and it will be good to go.   I shot Federal 115g and my 124 grain reloads (20 each) and 12 Critical Defense.   Here is a couple pictures, most was 7 yards but the picture with 2 holes was funny.   A fly flew on the target and I told my buddy "see that fly? I am going to hit him. First shot a little low second shot splat.  If you look you can see a little bit of bug guts, we about rolled on the ground laughing.   Lol!     I will say that this gun can be limp wristed pretty easy and it is probably most of the issues that are on the Internet.   I like this little pistol and will be my constant companion.   Jimhttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06/08/bcd928d8d6ec3a0f5e475c7740501313.jpg

Congratulations, my friend. Welcome to the club, we've got jackets... :main_cheesy:

Good report! I had a couple issues when I got my first DB9, but since "I've learned to shoot it," I haven't had any issues at all. (Same story with my DB380's.) Congrats!

Jim, excellent job of pest control!

I agree with you regarding limp wristing the DB9.  While I do not find the recoil to be troublesome, it might be because I keep a death grip on my DB9 when firing.  I'm thinking that is the same grip I would have on it, if I ever had to use it for personal protection.

It is sad that many DB9 owners do not trust the gun because of the failures associated with limp writing.  I will shot my repaired DB9 this Saturday and hope I have the same success firing as I did before the trigger broke.

Best, Bill
